It’s the same story every evening  It’s the same story every night  Everybody’s looking for something  Something that they cannot find  And nobody seems to wonder  Nobody seems to care  About the damage that they’re doing  To anyone else but themselves  It's a long hard road up to heaven  And it ain’t easy when you’re living in hell  They say the trick is to keep breathing  I say only time can tell  Living for the night and way too fast  To see a light shine in the dark  Nothing’s gonna shake or break my heart  I’m never gonna change the world anyway  Nothing really seems to matter  As long as we keep it cool  Crawling up and down the ladder  From the depth of the gutter up to the moon And I know that my time will be coming  The time to make an end  To all these years running  Away from it all and back again  Oh, what a wonderful life  When you’re cold and numb inside  I wish that we could stay forever young  I wish that we could stay forever blind  Living for the night and way too fast  To see a light shine in the dark  Nothing’s gonna shake or break my heart  Nothing’s gonna shake or break my heart   I’m never gonna change the world anyway  They say that time goes faster  When you’re young and you play hard and you live strong  I say I cannot wait for my time to come

Faded pictures, frozen features  Caught on a ship of sinking dreams  Going to nowhere across the dead sea  I can’t believe the mess that I’ve become  I turn to trouble, I turn to fire  When I reach out for your touch  You’re just a shadow, my imagination  Trying hard to put me down  Little sister I see you dancing on the moon  Little sister  I wish that I could be with you  Lover sister, sister lover  Girl, I’ve got so many names for you  My one and only, I feel so lonely  In this godforsaken wicked world  Little sister I see you dancing on the moon  Little sister  I wish that I could be with you Come on, take me to the moon girl Take me all the way  Got nothing left to do here  But to sit around and wait  For the years to pass me by  To reach end of time  Got nothing on my mind  But to leave this world behind

about

On “Shock Pop Vol. II”, Chopper remains confrontational, idiosyncratic and in-your-face - the nauseous spectacle with bubblegum and confetti, eurodance and glam rock, remains - however, both lyrically and musically, there is a wistfulness, depth and introverted fragility not as prominently expressed in his earlier work. "Shock Pop Vol II" takes you on a time-travel through various musical eras, spanning from the glamour, loftiness and polish of 80’s commercial pop and rock to the drug-fueled raving heydays of the Hacienda Club, infused with heavy industrial sounds within classical Morricone-inspired compositions (even free-jazz noise rock explosions!). One thing is certain: Chopper refuses to be confined to a specific genre and rejects predictability. "Shock Pop Vol II" showcases an ambitious artist unafraid of embracing vulnerability, kitsch, and flamboyance. Regardless of how dark and bleak it gets in Chopper's universe, it is always executed with such wit, playfulness and self-awareness that you can't help but be charmed by it.
